Pebble Beach

The location of Pebble Beach was a perfect find, and I really enjoyed my stay. As a solo traveller, I felt everything went smoothly from parking the car onwards. It was sunny, with mellow DJ music playing in the Sunset Bar outside overlooking the sea. After checking in with the friendly, helpful staff, I was pleased with my room. It was spotless, and the furniture, fittings, linen and towels were all a very high standard. I took a beach walk to watch the sunset, then had dinner from the Sunset Bar menu in the restaurant. The food was excellent, with very good ingredients, and the staff were professional and friendly. Jake took time to chat with me, which I really appreciated. Thank you very much 😊

Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea was amazing. My eggs Benedict and iced latte were perfect, and that view made it even better. I’ve now stayed at Pebble Beach three times for work, and it feels like being abroad. The spectacular view reminds me of the beaches in Fuerteventura. Rooms are clean and comfortable, though the bathroom is a bit old-fashioned. It has everything you need, and the toiletries are lovely. Sam, the restaurant manager, is so welcoming and friendly, and made me feel at home. Restaurant service is fantastic. This time my seabass was out in five minutes and tasted fresh and delicious. I also had a divine cocktail. Highly recommend.

Lovely location and the service was great. I expected more from the food, though. More than £10 for three small pancakes and a couple of bits of bacon felt overpriced, especially when the full breakfast was only £2 more.

We’d been there for a few days and decided to have a nice meal on our last night. Mum asked a young staff member if we could bring our fur baby in, and he said yes, they even sold dog treats. She came back to the car with the thumbs up. But once we went into the restaurant, which was barely a quarter full, an older man greeted us and asked if we’d booked. We hadn’t. He said they had music that night and needed the table, so we left. They won’t get a penny from me on future visits to see family.
