We had plenty of time to relax in the bar before being shown to our table. It was busy for a February midweek evening, with enough buzz for atmosphere while still easy to talk. The restaurant's lovely setting and decor felt warm and welcoming, and the menus offered lots of good quality choices. The food looked great, was cooked superbly, and tasted delicious. Well worth a visit.

Sitting by the fire with the Christmas decorations around us made supper feel especially cosy. My wife couldn't decide on a cocktail, so the attentive staff kindly made her a special one, which we really appreciated. We had salmon, prawns, cod, and venison, all beautifully cooked and full of flavour, with the feel of fine country dining. A charming evening, and we'll certainly return.

The view over Rutland Water was a highlight at The Finch’s Arms. We had an exceptional three-course dinner brought to our room, each dish beautifully presented, full of flavour, and timed just right as the light faded over the water. Breakfast the next morning was generous and beautifully cooked with lovely ingredients, and the panorama made it a perfect start to the day. From arrival, the staff made us feel like family. Their kindness and attention felt genuine and effortless, and nothing was too much trouble. The whole stay felt relaxed and personal, with service that was polished but still heartfelt. We left refreshed and valued, already thinking about coming back. A memorable stay and meal.

We love relaxing in the bar area here, and the food is always delicious. It's our favourite pub restaurant nearby. We've been many times, often asking for a table at the last minute, and they've always gone above and beyond to make it a great experience. We'll be back!

The sharing platter was superb and the food was lovely. Our table for two was booked for 2 pm and we arrived on time, but were told a large table was ahead of us, so there'd be a delay before they took our order and brought the food. It took 55 minutes for the starter to arrive. That may have been an exception, but it was our only visit, so that's all I can judge it by. Shame it was so busy.
