Isle Of Eriska Hotel And Spa

We loved the hotel and hope to return sometime. The people working there were so friendly and helpful, and our room was great. There were lovely little spots by fireplaces where we could enjoy a good glass of wine. We had a three-course dinner in the restaurant, with high-quality, well-prepared food. Every place has room to improve, but don't let the less positive reviews, many about first-world problems, put you off. This is a wonderful place.

The Isle of Eriska is a beautiful destination, but it was the people who made our stay special. From arrival onwards, every staff member made us feel welcome as individuals, with a rare mix of professionalism, warmth and attentiveness. Their care felt sincere, not rehearsed, and gave the place a relaxed, comfortable sense of quiet luxury. The service made our stay both relaxing and truly memorable. Thank you, Rob and Jordan, for everything you did. We look forward to returning.

A beautiful wee island, and a great stay overall. Make time to explore and walk up and around it. The restaurant is a little overpriced for what it is, but I'd highly recommend the place.

The restaurant staff were very attentive, and the location was excellent. Those were the only things that kept this from being a one-star stay. We expected luxury for the price, based on the hotel's marketing and photos, but the reality was disappointing. Our room looked worn, dreary and poorly maintained, and the comforter was covered in what looked like dog hair. There was no air conditioning. In September, that might have been manageable if the windows opened more than a few centimetres, but the radiator was stuck on and its valve wouldn't turn it off. The room became an uncomfortably hot box. The front desk service was poor too. Staff seemed unprofessional and changed shifts right in the middle of checking us in. The restaurant team couldn't make up for the state of the room, the heat, and the reception experience.
