We made time for Skipton’s shops, cafes and market, then drove to Ilkey on Sunday for its market and those stunning views. After a busy couple of days, the hotel was a lovely place to come back to. We had a spacious room with lift access and a wet room, which worked perfectly for my mum, and the beds were really comfortable. The food was carefully presented, the service was spot on, and Sunday roast was fabulous. We stayed two nights in February on the Winter warmer deal, and loved having a warm Pimm’s after shopping. We’ll be back.

The staff were great, and our room was really spacious. Breakfast had a good mix of hot and cold options, and I enjoyed the full cooked one. We booked this as a last minute getaway, and the hotel was handy for a short walk into Skipton town centre along the towpath. You can take the main road instead, and either route is only a few minutes. I’d happily go back.

Breakfast was tasty and came out promptly, and the staff made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed our two night stay, with the hotel in a perfect spot for exploring Skipton and everything it has to offer.

This was our third visit, and the breakfast was lovely as were all the staff. The room, service and location have all been excellent every time. It’s about a ten minute walk into town along the canal. I don’t think you’d be disappointed with a visit.

The towpath is a lovely way to get into town, and the hotel’s within walking distance of the centre. We’ve been here three times this past year with our two dogs. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they really want you to have a good stay. Breakfast has plenty to choose from, and the dogs love getting sausages. We’ve eaten in the restaurant in the evenings too, and it’s never let us down. We’re looking forward to coming back next year and would recommend it if you’re visiting the Skipton area.
