The woman behind the bar was lovely and welcoming. We ordered maple bacon and waffles, and the food was spot on. Hats off to the chef. She was friendly and came over to chat at the table. Lovely food and service, I'd highly recommend it :)

Sarah and Richard have clearly made a difference. We’re back regularly now, and the Sunday roast is fresh, cooked well and brought over with a smile. The lemon cream desserts are especially lovely, and it’s great value. We’d stopped coming because the food quality and welcome had gone downhill, so it’s great to see these improvements.

We were a group of seven and had a lovely meal, thanks to a great team. It’s a big, busy place, and I’m impressed by how well they manage it. Families have a good setup too, with outdoor tables beside the recently refurbished play area.

For our daughter’s first Holy Communion, we arranged a celebration at The Sun with a finger buffet. There was a choice of chicken fajitas or pulled pork, plenty of other bits, and a selection of cakes. Andy the chef really exceeded our expectations; the food was superb. Libby, Josie and the rest of the team were polite and helpful, and landlord Richard made us feel welcome and did all he could to help. A brilliant experience.
