Springhill Suites Athens West

The front desk couldn’t change what happened because of Marriott’s corporate policies, so Marriott Corporate Office is to blame. I booked through the Bonvoy app and tried to pay with points. Apparently I didn’t have enough, so I bought $250.00 in additional points for a two-night stay. Somehow the online reservation must have changed when I switched the payment to points. The desk then said I’d booked just one night, even though the points I bought for the second night cost more than a night at this hotel. They kept all my points, including the new ones, and wouldn’t refund the $250.00 to my card so I could simply pay the $195.00 room price. They also cut one night from my reservation. I was shocked by the conversations with both the front desk and Corporate. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I’ve never had a worse hotel experience. Writing this review feels like another waste of time. I’ll never stay at a Marriott again, and I’ll share this with every patient who mentions travel, as well as professional colleagues, family, and friends. I’m pretty sure they won’t sign up to be ripped off either.

Bring your own water for the coffee maker and for brushing your teeth. This hotel doesn’t offer anything!

The breakfast had a tasty range of choices, and our rooms were clean and quiet. The staff were fantastic all around. Thanks to everyone for helping make the trip a great one. We’ll come back when we return to Athens!

I live an hour away, and this is the safest, shadiest spot I’ve found to park and nap when I can. It’s just minutes from where he goes to therapy. Being close by and able to stay in the shade means I don’t cook in the sun.
