The pool looked nice and seemed cared for, though we were at a softball tournament and didn’t have time to use it. The breakfast area was clean and looked good too. The rooms are dated and smell, so bring room freshener. Still, all in all, it wasn’t that bad, and they could improve the place a lot with some attention to the amenities. At 7:30 a.m. they used a gas blower to clear the pool deck, walkways, and the rest of the motel. It woke me up, and I got up to see it.

I was in a bind and needed a room, so I booked without reading the reviews. I regret it. The room was absolutely filthy, and I didn’t stay long. Bedbugs, dirty sheets and towels, filthy walls, and all that. If none of that bothers you, this is your hotel. Read the reviews, and don’t make my mistake.

The room was in unacceptable shape and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned before I arrived. There was a cigarette on the floor behind the microwave, the bed linens were stained, and the towels and washcloths looked unclean. Wall panels were missing near the light switch, and exposed cables hung from the TV. I’m genuinely shocked this property operates under the Wyndham name. I’d strongly advise avoiding it.

We were driving home to Michigan from the Keys and stopped here overnight. The first room was disgusting, with a stained bedspread and filthy towels. The desk person wouldn’t refund us but offered another room. It was just as bad, if not worse. A man went to get a woman to change the beds; she did, but they were still just as bad. We stayed the night anyway, then woke up with bite marks on our arms and bodies. My wife and son had them too, and after three hours we were back on the road. When we told the desk person, they said nothing. The door looked as though it had been broken into, and there were holes in the walls. I’ve stayed at Days Inn many times while traveling and never had anything like this. Avoid this hotel, and I’d tell people to avoid the name Windham because of this place.
