Downtown Camden Hotel

Just right for a one-night getaway. The room was cozy and clean, the service was great, and there’s a great restaurant right across the way.

We ended up having to find another hotel after arriving to an unprepared room. Since this is a fully remote hotel, we got a text with the door code on the day of our stay, but inside, the bed linens had clearly been slept in, there was a dirty towel in the bathroom, and leftover takeout in the trash. It looked like the cleaning crew hadn’t made it to our room, and there was no one on site to speak with. We called and got no answer, then texted, but even five days later I still hadn’t heard back to my calls or messages. I understand mistakes happen, but I need a refund for a room we never stayed in, and my emails and texts are still unanswered.

The room had lots of space compared with a standard hotel room, and the bed was really comfortable. It was spotless, with plenty of bathroom linens and thoughtful extras like coffee and snacks. The location made it easy to walk everywhere. For parking, we could unload beside the hotel in the two-hour lot, then move the car around the corner to a convenient, secure gated lot. Our host even let us check in very early without us asking. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it.

Camden was hard to leave, with the waterfall, restaurants, and forest all around. The room itself was beautiful, with windows on every side bringing in lovely light, and the coffee, tea, and snacks were spot on. The huge memory foam bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept through both nights even though my husband usually wakes me. Thick towels and lovely bathroom amenities were another plus. We heard a little street noise with the window open, but the trucks didn’t come at unreasonable times, unlike in Montreal. I forgot to take photos, but we’d absolutely stay again.
