The owners were so friendly and helpful, and gave us a map with places to visit and great restaurants. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. It’s a charming, cozy bed-and-breakfast, with beautiful paintings on the stairs. The beds are comfortable, and the place has been done up beautifully to make you feel like you’ve gone back in time. You’d be lucky to stay here.

Lucia and Kevin are fabulous hosts, and we felt warmly welcomed right away. Their recommendations led us to some truly wonderful experiences, and we’re looking forward to coming back. We spent a marvelous week at Timbercliff and enjoyed every minute. Breakfast each morning was beautiful and delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable, keeping the original design while adding modern conveniences like plumbing, electricity, wifi and climate control.

Kevin would get the living room fireplace going, making it a lovely place to relax with other guests, read, look out at the water or play a game. I understand he also makes the delicious breakfasts with eggs from their chickens. There was something different each day, plus a coffee pot that never seemed to run out. The tempting smells from the kitchen got us downstairs each morning, and it was a pleasure eating at the welcoming table with the other guests. Such good food and good company. We slept very well in the comfortable bed, and the house was quiet. It’s beautifully kept and welcoming, just right for its 1790 age. There’s plenty of comfortable porch furniture, though the weather was too cool for us to sit outside. The beauty of Camden is outstanding, and the Timbercliffe Cottage Bed & Breakfast is a wonderful base for exploring Camden and nearby Maine areas. Lucia gave us detailed suggestions for hikes, places to see and restaurants around the greater Camden area. There are traditional Maine landmarks you don’t want to miss. We’d strongly recommend a visit.

Their homemade breakfasts were fresh each morning, and they had great tips on things to see around Camden. We had a great weekend and I’d absolutely stay again.

The rooms are charming, the bed was very comfortable, and they were accommodating. Lucia was a gracious host who gave us lots of information about the area and detailed ideas for how to spend our day. Breakfast was delicious. Don’t miss the paintings on the stairs!
