The ocean view from our Deluxe King Suite was spectacular, and we loved sitting on the large balcony in its two comfortable rocking chairs. The room itself was beautiful, and the front desk staff were so welcoming and personable when we arrived. They even let us check in early, which gave my wife’s birthday celebration a great start. We did have two small problems. Our suite was right across from the stairwell door, and because the entrance door is in the bedroom, the slamming stairwell door woke me several times. Also, after dinner I left leftovers on the kitchen counter. When I came back from a shower, tiny ants had gotten onto the counter and food. I took the bagged leftovers to the front desk while we went to get a replacement meal at the hotel restaurant. The staff kindly handled the disposal and immediately offered to send maintenance. We were checking out the next morning and I’d already cleared the area, so I declined, but appreciated how quickly they tried to help. The service and scenery are top-tier, and the positives far outweigh these minor issues. I’d 1000% book here again!

We chose the Marquis De Lafayette to host guests for our beach micro-wedding, and all of them loved the hotel. When the weather wasn’t going to cooperate, Marlene and Joe quickly offered us a place to hold the ceremony. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and flexible. We literally couldn’t have pulled off our special day without them. The rooms were clean, spacious, and perfect for our needs, and the location is amazing. We can’t recommend the Marquis De Lafayette enough!

We’re very happy staying at this pet-friendly hotel and have stayed here every time we’ve visited capemay. The staff are all friendly, the room is nice and clean, and the beachfront location is wonderful. We can walk everywhere, including the shops, restaurants, church, and beach. Highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is in a great location, and Barefoot bar and grill was good. We stayed two nights in a pet-friendly junior suite. It met our needs, though it was a bit tight. Since it was on the ground floor, there was no ocean view, and the several steps made it challenging for my dad to get around with a walker. The regular bed was comfortable, but the pullout was terribly uncomfortable. The floors seemed like they hadn’t been swept before we arrived, or washed in a long time. We liked the rocking chairs on the patio. The pool was nicely heated, but the hot tub wasn’t hot enough.

I booked through Expedia but had to change our vacation dates. Joe, one of the managers, was quick to reply and very accommodating, positive, and helpful. We’re looking forward to our stay!
