My lifelong best friend hosts my family here every year, and we always have a great time. There’s swimming in the pool or lake, activities planned for the whole family, and evenings roasting marshmallows and catching up with family and friends. A fun summer spot if you like Camp Grounds.

I’ve camped seasonally at Sun Resorts Seashore Campground in Cape May NJ and stayed there in June, July, and September over three visits. My late Brother had a permanent unit there, and I spent at least five days on each visit, $1800 total for sites and fees. For that money, I never got working WiFi or TV. The campground WiFi says you’re connected, but nothing streams. I couldn’t watch MLB, NASCAR, or PGA Golf. Staff said corporate had removed free WiFi for guests, told me to call corporate, and admitted the WiFi doesn’t work. I told them that charging this much while providing no internet access was total B/S. Other campers were a problem too. A few people drove golf carts through my camp sight as a shortcut in the early evening. One nearly hit my $400.00 CORNHOLE BOARDS, then said “I didn’t see the CORNHOLE BOARDS” and claimed the next sight looked unused. At night the place felt like a haven for idiots: carts with music blaring, beer cans in hand, kids driving, and lights shining into RVs and people’s eyes around the campfire. Kids also rode bikes through other people’s sites. A Ranger is supposed to patrol and enforce the rules, including no bike riding after 10:00pm when silent hours begin, but I never saw one during any of my three stays. Everything in the store, including firewood, is overpriced. I’m told the T section of tannanger will have only permanent trailers in its water and electric area in 2026. Staff also told me Seashore Campground may stop all Transit camping within five years. The campground apparently wants to DO AWAY WITH ALL TRANSIT CAMPING, since corporate would then know every permanent trailer and resident and collect $8600 a year for each camp sight, without dealing with Transit Spaces sitting open or going unbooked during low peak times. In my opinion, Sun Resorts is just out for $$$.

Orlando, the general manager at Lowe’s, and his assistant Pete were incredibly kind today. An outdoor trunk wouldn’t fit in my car, so they delivered it to my home. It’s wonderful to know there are such kindhearted people in this community. I used to stay and camp at seashore campground many years ago, and have lovely memories from there too. Thank you both for going out of your way. I hope something wonderful comes your way in return for your kindness.

The showers were awful, with hair clumped in the drains, grime everywhere, and bugs on the floors and walls. The bathrooms were just as bad. The sinks had no running water the whole time, and it looked like nobody had cleaned them during the holiday weekend. We stayed at a tent site over the 4th of July weekend, and the restrooms were the worst I’ve seen at any campground. For a weekend with so many guests, basic cleaning and upkeep should matter, but this place felt neglected and unsanitary. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially with kids or if cleanliness matters to you. It wasn’t worth the hassle or health risk.

We’ve stayed here five or six times as a family, and it’s always been a pleasure. The grounds are lovely, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. We had to leave early today because my son wasn’t feeling well, and they gave us credit toward our next stay. We really appreciated that and can’t wait to return.
