Residence Inn Indianapolis Carmel

The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were pleasant, but several problems went unresolved. The heater moved air without warming it, which I only figured out in the morning. The bathtub switch that sends water to the shower was stuck, and I found that too late to wait for maintenance. After I finished bathing, someone on staff walked right into the room without knocking or calling out. I don't know if it was maintenance or housekeeping. When I reported all of this, the woman at the desk offered repeated apologies, but nothing else. I'm not coming back or recommending this place.

The only real plus for me was being two minutes from my job site. Otherwise, I would've moved. This is called a downtown location, but there's not much downtown: the hotel restaurant is the only one nearby, and you'd have to drive to reach anything else. If you want a downtown feel, skip it. The staff were kind and service was good, and the rooms were nice. But you can't choose what service to use on the TV, with only limited cable and no Netflix, YouTube, or other provider. Construction started early, so no wake-up call was needed. Breakfast costs $15, which they can charge when there's nowhere else within walking distance to get it.

I spent two nights in a beautiful room at this lovely location. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to provide amazing service, and breakfast was amazing, especially the coffee. Checking out this morning, though, I got terrified by a spider. I'll attach a video. It was snowing outside, so maybe it was looking for shelter too, but I'm really afraid of spiders.

We booked a block of 15 rooms for two weeks for our Tech Mahindra group, and the service for our whole team was outstanding. I was also at the Residence Inn for a week with my IT team on a project in Carmel, and they made sure our meeting room was comfortable and ready throughout the stay. Rita was especially attentive and accommodating, always making sure we had what we needed. She even helped us celebrate a colleague's birthday with food and cake, which meant a lot when we were all traveling from out of state. Our experience was excellent from beginning to end, and I highly recommend the property for business or group travel.
