We came with friends and the house worked perfectly for a group, though it would also suit a family or a wedding or event. The kitchen was fully stocked, and we liked unwinding on the private balcony or patio at night. It felt upscale but still warm and welcoming, with easy, smooth professional management. The home is beautiful, clean, and full of personality and charm, more character than a high-end Airbnb. It’s right in the Charleston historic district, an easy walk to King Street, restaurants, bars, and the rest of downtown. For a luxury short-term rental, I can’t think of a better place in Charleston. I’d definitely stay again.

Our party of 10 fit comfortably in the five-bedroom Emerson Cottages home. It had lovely details throughout, beautiful bathrooms, and we enjoyed spending evenings outside. It was also within walking distance of some of Charleston’s best restaurants and shopping. For a large group looking for a well-equipped home in a central spot, this was just right.
