Home2 Suites by Hilton Charleston Daniel Island

Daniel Island was a nice bonus for our Charleston trip, with good restaurants and shopping nearby. We were there for a high school graduation and needed access to downtown, North Charleston, and Mt. Pleasant. Home2 Suites by Hilton Charleston Daniel Island, which opened in 2019, is thoughtfully laid out and still feels comfortable for a longer stay. There’s a mini-mart, business center, fitness room, laundry, pool, outdoor fire pit, and grill area. The breakfast was a highlight. It was hot, fresh, and varied, with grab-and-go choices too. The dining space stayed immaculate, and the friendly breakfast staff had something new and well prepared each morning. We’ve stayed at upscale boutique hotels, and this breakfast beats plenty of them. Our room was quiet and the bed was especially comfortable. Housekeeping was consistently kind, keeping the room spotless and bringing fresh towels. DeMarco at the front desk was warm and attentive every time, and clearly takes pride in looking after guests. We were sorry to leave. The comfort, cleanliness, value, and service felt better than at many luxury brands we’ve tried, and we’d gladly return and recommend it to anyone visiting the Charleston area.

We picked this hotel for two nights at the tennis tournament, and the walk to Credit One Stadium was an easy 10 minutes. Restaurants and a Publix are along the way, and there’s also a free shuttle you can catch from the parking lot across River Landing Drive. Very handy for events. Though it’s 7 years old, the hotel still looks new. The rooms were clean and spacious, and management seems to keep the property in good shape.

We stayed five nights for the tennis tournament and walked to Credit One Stadium in about 15 minutes. There’s a Publix and several places to eat on the route, and parking at the hotel was easy. Our room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and having a kitchenette was great. I also used the fitness center, with laundry right beside it, which was handy. Breakfast had a nice range of choices. The staff were welcoming, and the building was very well maintained. It’s a pleasing, well-run hotel. I’d recommend it and hope to return.

The location worked really well, with lots of restaurants and shops easy to reach. The service was the best part: anything we asked the front desk for was taken care of right away. Demarco was a delight, always smiling, welcoming us warmly, and glad to help. Thanks again for all those friendly greetings, Demarco. The room was no-frills and felt dated, but the bathroom was very clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good too.
