Country Inn & Suites

The view is supposedly hillside, but from our room we were looking at the back of a restaurant. More than that, the two rooms we stayed in were disgusting. Apart from the sheets being changed, neither looked cleaned: hair and food chunks were on the floors, and there was greasy black buildup. The closet seemed to be the only clean spot, and its doorknob was missing. We didn't shower because the curtain had splatters of some substance and the drain was full of hair. In the second room there were more splatters by the toilet paper, and the ceiling had black stuff all over it. Someone had stuffed toilet paper into the peephole, though wood putty would do if it needed blocking. My husband asked for a refund when he saw the first room, but it was refused for both stays. I've stayed in pay-by-the-hour hotels that were more habitable. However desperate you are, don't stay here.

After a 16-hour drive toward Florida, we stopped here for the night, excited to get some rest. Instead, the room was filthy. Thick dirt covered the floor, which looked as if it hadn't been mopped in months. There were stains on the walls, linens, furniture, mirrors, and floor, plus crumbs and hair everywhere. Even the ceiling looked like it hadn't been dusted since Vietnam. It didn't seem like anyone had tried to clean. The front desk woman wasn't welcoming or kind, and acted as if checking us in was an inconvenience. At 7 in the morning our key stopped working, even though checkout was at 11. The man at the desk then tried to tell me it was my fault for putting the key by my phone. That gaslighting was disappointing. The owner or manager should be ashamed: it feels like they've given up and aren't trying to provide even a halfway decent place. Basic cleanliness is something guests should be able to expect, not have dismissed as a matter of expectations. I won't stay at a Radisson again.

I've honestly never walked into a hotel room this gross, and I'm not exaggerating. There was mold in the shower and a clump of hair in the drain. Ladybugs were everywhere, including lots of dead ones in the ceiling light. The wall by the toilet looked like someone had vomited or urinated on it, and there was blood on the wall and floor between the toilet and sink. The microwave was dirty and the couch was falling apart. The floors looked like they hadn't been swept or mopped in ages. Sleeping here felt like sleeping in a gas station bathroom.

The plumbing was bad in both the shower and toilet. Water backed up in the shower and drained slowly, and the toilet wouldn't flush all the way. The room was dirty too, with a used, dirty Q-tip visible on the pull-out couch. The window AC had an electrical short and wouldn't stay on. I called the front office, and they sent a man into our room to work on it while we were in bed, close to midnight. Awkward, but okay. The rooms are adjoining, which I wouldn't have chosen if I'd known. I felt bad leaving a negative review, but I booked through a military service member discount site and others should know what the stay was like. It really wasn't okay, especially for more than $150 for one night.
