Rodeway Inn Circleville

The clerk who checked me in was kind and knew what he was doing, but I won't come back. I found the place online for $79, then was quoted $86 when I walked in. My room was dirty, and the office was cluttered too, which should've been my sign to go to the next hotel. The pillows were flat, with just two per bed. I've stayed in cheaper motels with clean rooms. This place badly needs cleaning. See the attached photos of the dirty rooms.

I was just passing through and needed somewhere to sleep for a few hours. The room was awful: the toilet and tub were dirty, and the sink was clogged. Glad I didn't need to stay longer.

The bathroom was so filthy that even my cat wouldn't have used the toilet, and I doubt it had ever been cleaned. The room itself was dirty too. Lamps had no bulbs, and only one bulb worked over the sink, so it was pretty dark. The man checking us in was rude. We chose this for one quick night, trusting the 3-star Google rating when I booked, and I regret not reading the reviews first. I've traveled for years and stayed in a few third-world countries, but never anywhere this bad. It felt like a house of horrors. Outside, I saw what looked like a drug deal right beside me, then a fistfight broke out. The buyer seemed to think he hadn't gotten what he'd paid for. I ran back to the room while they went after each other. We wanted to leave and planned to give up the stay, but heavy traffic started coming to a man parked beside us who was selling "meth or rock." He left, then came back minutes later with three male passengers. I felt defeated and stayed in the room for hours before we finally got away. We were afraid to call the police because the men might know it was us, since the deal happened right in front of me. We just wanted to get out alive. I've never slept in our car, but that would've been far nicer than this motel. Circleville in general felt dangerous after dark. Stay safe and read the reviews.

The shower had no hot water, and it was too disgusting to use anyway. The place was filthy and run-down, with an ancient TV and a remote that didn't work. It's the worst dump I've ever stayed in. Stay away.
