Heritage Inn

Awful stay. The owner came banging on the door every morning and was very rude. The towels looked nasty, even though they were clean, and the phones didn't work. There was no ice machine, drink machine, or anything like that. They wouldn't take out that day's trash or give us extra pillows or towels.

The room was filthy around the tub, toilet, and vanity, and it had a warm, musty smell. We paid $20 over the advertised price and still had to clean before showering. The towels and washcloths were stained and so rough they felt like driveway gravel. After sleeping, I went to the office for towels so I could shower, but they refused. Getting into the room had already felt uncomfortable: we had to squeeze past parked guests because of a badly placed retaining wall, and a woman who apparently had recently been evicted from the room we were entering was being questioned by law enforcement. On arrival we were spoken to rudely, too. If you're thinking about Heritage Inn in Cleveland Tennessee, I'd honestly rather sleep under a bridge. The service would definitely be better. And that's what grinds my gears!

We left after a woman shouted through a little window about a coupon she wouldn't accept. We could understand her, but the place felt like storage units split up by walls, as someone had described it.

I've stayed here for a few months and had trouble with the TV. The owner acted as though fixing it was his problem, so I'm ending my stay. If you do book, look over the room before paying, since they have a no-refund policy.
