Red Roof Inn & Suites Clinton MS

The smell in the hotel was so strong it gave us headaches almost right away, and our first room was unclean. We asked to cancel and get a refund. They offered another room, but that one wasn't clean either. The desk clerk said the manager had to approve the refund, and he still hasn't. Our travel agents contacted the hotel, but they refused. When I called this morning, the manager hung up after telling me, "I won't refund you." Save yourself the time and hassle, book somewhere else.

We’re elderly, and the staff were very helpful. They were friendly, and pets are welcome. We liked the hotel.

The noise started up again at 5 am after I got up at 1 am to ask the front desk about the overnight construction. The person there apologized and said he'd ask them to stop, but it sounded like stomping and bowling in the room above us. We couldn't sleep and left soon after it began again. The room was also uncomfortable: a very dirty couch with a suspicious white stain, towels covered in other people's hair and stains, and hair all over the shower walls and floor. I felt too grossed out to shower, and used my own shirt to dry my hands and face. Red Roof Inn's are cheap, and I should've known better. Never again.

The parking lot slopes down, and the pool is small too. If small is what you like, go there.
