We were out of there before the chickens. At 1:30 AM, after we were already having trouble sleeping, the smoke detector suddenly went off for about a minute and then stopped. We're not smokers, and being woken up for no reason made it impossible to fall back asleep. There was a dead bug behind the bathroom door, and the bathroom looked so unsanitary and in need of repair that my husband, who usually showers every morning, didn't want to use it. The exterior door had a big gap underneath, letting in light and potentially bugs. With the nearby freeway came traffic noise, plus other guests' stomping and slamming doors. The location felt very shady, with almost nothing around. The staff were unfriendly at both check-in and checkout, with no greeting, smiles, or thank you. Absolutely awful, the worst hotel or motel we've stayed at.

The beds were really spacious, and the shower had nice water pressure. I don't have any real complaints otherwise, but facing the highway means it can get quite loud.

We heard sirens at least five times between 11pm and 7am. As for the advertised free breakfast, it was just coffee and a two-pack of mini muffins, chocolate chip or blueberry. There was no creamer, and plenty of people can't eat muffins like those.

The staff were friendly, and the room was very clean despite being old. The sink was broken, though, and there was no Wi-Fi. The location felt a little sketchy.

The bedding and towels looked new, and the rooms were very clean. Staff were super helpful too. The pool is small, with a 10-person capacity, but it was clean and welcoming after our hot geocaching adventures. It's an older hotel, and I'd highly recommend it when you're in the area.
