The rooms were good, the location was perfect, and the employees were genuinely helpful and knowledgeable. They also left us alone when we wanted space. My complaint is about the breakfast policy. It used to be free and self-serve, but now it's hosted and there's a small charge with an option to tip. I don't mind tipping, but I object to the company using tips to make up for underpaying employees. The breakfast itself is inexpensive and worth the price. Still, when something that used to be free starts costing money, I notice. Calling it complimentary while adding a charge and tip option changes how it feels. I'd definitely stay here again. I'm usually more of a Vrbo vacationer, but I came for an event that lasted a day and a half. The hotel was clean and convenient to both restaurants and the interstate. Staff did a fabulous job with all the meals and were wonderful. I didn't catch their names, but management should know I was there Jan 9-10 and appreciate their work.

We arrived late at night, and the staff made check-in easy and welcoming. The room was spotless and the bed was really comfortable. I also appreciated how well stocked the snack shop was, including coconut water. For breakfast, they kindly toasted the gluten-free bread I brought, which made things easy. Parking was simple too. We had a very pleasant stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia, SC, and would recommend it if you're in Columbia.

I've used this hotel for my work event for the past three years. What stands out is the service. Once, I forgot a piece of equipment, and the staff found a way to accommodate me, which was a big relief. They also communicate well across shift changes and keep each other informed. And the food has been consistently great, both in flavor and taste.

Stopped here overnight with my dog during a long drive, and it was a perfect midpoint. The room was spacious and clean, with a really comfortable bed and high-end bathroom products. The hotel has also been nicely updated, and its little shop had snacks, drinks, and a few travel essentials. Every staff member we met was welcoming and went out of their way to help. I'd recommend the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia and would gladly stay again.
