Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbia

We came back, and the staff recognized us and welcomed us warmly. The breakfast and housekeeping were both great. Our reserved connecting rooms weren’t available, though, which made things difficult with a family of six and all our luggage split between rooms. On our first stay, we had such a good time at the pool and hot tub, and slept well in the clean rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast was tasty, and we enjoyed the Wednesday evening social and dinner. The staff met all our needs and treated us like priority guests from the moment we arrived. For a 3-star hotel, there are a few things that could be improved, but I haven’t had better care and service. We’ll be back!

I’m here because my truck broke down, and Nolan at the front desk has been amazing. I came back from a race in NC and needed to do laundry, but there was no detergent downstairs or in the back. Since my vehicle is in the shop, I asked if someone could pick some up at a store. I offered to pay for the time and the detergent, but the manager told me to use Instacart. Later I saw one of the managers come in with Captain D’s for lunch. Must be nice. It’s a small thing, but these are the things that make people come back. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this needed saying.

I’ve stayed with Hilton for a long time, and we’d just left Asheville Homewood Suites, which was levels above this place. I usually don’t leave bad reviews unless I feel disrespected. I checked in on the app, upgraded my room, and got a room number. When I arrived, the front desk lady on 10/26 put me in a run-down room with a disgusting bed. She then moved me to the original room I’d paid for, but the toilet was stopped up for an hour and nobody came. I went to sit at the table in my room and found a dirty shower loofah on the chair. Disgusting.

The breakfast was nice, and the kids had fun in the pool. Getting into our room was a problem, so we were moved to another one. It was clean and smelled nice when we walked in. The beds were the downside, really rough, like sleeping on cardboard.
