Royal Inn

I've stayed here many times and usually paid 48 for a room. There have been occasional issues with a broken shower or a door that wouldn't shut properly after a break-in, but the workers were always nice and I was happy with what I paid. Tonight, though, they said we couldn't check in after 9 and wanted over 10$ more than usual. When we questioned it, he got mouthy with my girlfriend and told her to behave herself. Very unprofessional. We won't be staying again.

It cost $40 for the night and came with a microwave, fridge, and free wifi, and the bed was decently comfortable. The one pillow I got was okay too. Beyond that, it was a filthy, bare-bones party motel. There was a photo I posted of the busted-in door next to my room. Most likely there'd been a police raid for making or selling drugs. My room had chemical burns on the floor and no deadbolt. I paid $10 extra for late checkout to get some more sleep. Thirty minutes later, after I'd just drifted off again, the front desk clerk came banging on the door and yelling about the $10. I didn't get to sleep any longer, so that money was wasted. Thanks, dude. Your hotel sucks.

When I stayed at the Inn about six months ago, I was shocked by how many bugs there were and how dirty the rooms were. I came back a few weeks ago and saw that they were changing the rooms. The new colors looked better, and it was much cleaner. I didn't find all those bugs again, though there were still some. They're trying to improve things.

I paid for the three-day special because I'm between places and on a tight budget. It was supposed to be $109 but came to $150, and they wouldn't refund me. The desk clerk said my spouse was too picky. We had no choice but to stay, and after we'd moved rooms three times, the clerk said that was the last one. We did our best with it, but this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, the kind they make horror films about. There were no working fire alarms or security lock on the door. The toilet was covered in dried urine, there was dried blood and stool on the walls, cigarette butts on the bathroom floor, and dead roaches in the bed. After three days of pure hell, unclean barely describes it. They were jackhammering the staircase right outside our room until 8 pm. I spent three hours cleaning, then went to the store to buy sheets for the bed. $150 is too much to waste.
