The front desk representative was incredibly kind and easily the best part of my stay. The room, though, wasn't cleaned properly, and the remodel seemed short on attention to detail, with old rusty vents in a supposedly updated space. Charging for parking feels like an unnecessary cash grab, and I can live with that, but having no microwave in the room is hard to believe. I've never stayed in a hotel room without one. It almost seems like they expect guests to buy meals downstairs, which really put me off.

Stephanie, the assistant manager, wasn't very helpful when I tried to shorten my reservation. They still attempted to charge me for the full night. As a lifetime Platinum Marriott member, I find that unacceptable. Why build loyalty with people you can't trust? I'm livid.

We booked this place for a company function and were glad we did. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean, and there was a huge amount of space. It was really nice.

Renee has been helpful, and I've stayed here many times before, but this may be my last visit. It's 23 August 2025, and I'm in Room 322. The pool has been cloudy for two days, with mold along the seating edges inside the pool and on the side tiles, plus crusty debris around the outside that needs scrubbing. With the renovations going on, maybe people don't notice, but it looks like a health issue from imbalanced chemicals. The left window is so murky you can't see the nice view and needs replacing. The toilet leaks at the back, leaving a puddle that the toilet paper fell into. The shower head design makes the water pressure too high, so perhaps an adjustable dial would help. The air conditioner never really brought the room down to the set temperature. There are other Marriott hotels to choose from.

The rooms are nicely equipped, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. It's in a great spot beside the Riverwalk, walking trails, uptown Columbus and Phenix City, with restaurants, grocery stores, bars and nightlife close by.
