Hyatt Place Columbus

My room was comfortable and clean during my three-night business trip, but I won’t be back. I hadn’t noticed before booking that there was no microwave in the room, which felt like an attempt to push guests toward the restaurant. The real dealbreaker was the unusable internet. I had to rely on my iPad hotspot the entire time. In 2025, decent hotel Wi-Fi should be a given, especially for business travelers. The clerk said the company had known about the long-running problem and suggested I work in the lobby. No thanks, I’ll find another hotel next time. Don’t advertise free Wi-Fi if it doesn’t work 🫤

I had a great stay. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff were friendly and professional. I also met our client for drinks at the bar; the bartender was prompt and professional. Thanks!

No Wi-Fi, no water or ice, no toiletries, and the USB plug didn’t work. I called the front desk about the plug, and the employee said she had a spare clock with a working plug. I brought my cord downstairs to check it, and it worked, but she wouldn’t let me take it up until I went back to my room for the broken clock. I couldn’t disconnect it, so I went downstairs again and told her she’d have to come get it. She came up, but couldn’t remove it either. We had to unscrew part of the back before I was allowed to have the working clock. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. I’ll never stay at another Hyatt Place.

This place was a dump. The doors looked like someone had broken in, and there were strange cars sitting in the lot for hours with people inside. I also saw what looked like blood stains on one of the room floors, almost like a dead-body stain. I wish I could give it a negative score. Never stay here, trust me.
