Quality Inn Columbus, MS

I spent four nights here. Room #250 was clean and comfortable, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The staff were welcoming and polite at check-in. The shower water got warm but never really hot. Our room faced the highway, so traffic noise was heavy. Parking got tight in the evenings, partly because renovation work meant some spaces weren’t available. I might stay again if I’m in the area.

The housekeeping women were amazing and straightened up the room each day. The rooms were clean, and they have smoking rooms. The manager would sometimes stand around with a weird mug on his face, almost like he was a security guard.

Most of the motel was under construction, and it felt really sketchy. Our room was dirty, smelled so bad you could hardly stand it, had mold in the room and restroom, and had broken furniture. I wouldn’t open the door to air it out because it felt extremely unsafe. They double-charged us, and customer service was nonexistent. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told he doesn’t like taking phone calls. It was bad enough that I took several photos and videos that need to be posted. Do yourself a favor and skip this place at all costs. It’s the worst motel in town. Sleep in your car before staying here.

My husband and I stayed in room 249, checking in September 22 of 2025 and staying a little over a week while he worked in town. The housekeeping ladies were sweethearts, and the office staff were very nice to us. Our remodeled room looked really nice, and thank God I didn’t see a single bug of any kind. The hotel has a washer and dryer, and breakfast starts at 5 AM, which was a blessing for my husband because he leaves for work very early. At most hotels we stay at, breakfast doesn’t start until six or seven. They served biscuits and gravy with egg and sausage, plus cereal, waffles, and fruit. And they actually had real orange juice, lol. Every other hotel we’ve stayed at has served watered-down apple or orange juice. They had coffee, too. We had a very nice stay. If we’re back in town for his job, we’ll stay here again. They are remodeling, so you’ll see furniture and things outside on the property, but it isn’t in the way. They’re gradually trying to get the place up to par, and it’s coming along nicely. You can tell they care about the hotel and take pride in it. I wish more hotels were like this. 😊
