The room was so filthy and smelled like a whole family had peed into the air conditioner. We lasted maybe two minutes before leaving to get a refund. The hallway smelled better. Lighting was poor, wallpaper was peeling, and people were hanging out on the steps as I walked up. Super hood, super filthy! The one good part was the front desk clerk. She was friendly, understanding, and helped me get a refund. She was great from beginning to end.

The staff made the stay a great experience. I've grown fond of several of the employees, and they're always friendly and willing to do what they can to make things comfortable. The rooms are clean, and the linen is comfortable, clean, and well cared for.

The staff are what made this place for me. Reception was friendly, and housekeeping went out of their way to help. At checkout I was juggling all our bags while pushing my partner's wheelchair. A staff member noticed and carried the bags to the front counter. That kind of help matters, and it made me feel seen. Thank you so much. I'd stay again if I needed to. The motel is a three-minute walk from the nearest bus stop or the interstate, and just 30 seconds from two restaurants. Check other hotel reviews in the same neighborhood so you know what you're getting into. If the area is a deal breaker, this probably isn't the place for you. If you know how to mind your business, you get your money's worth. I always check a room carefully for bed bugs before accepting it. The worst I found were suspicious wall stains that turned out to be nothing, and carpet that probably hasn't had a deep clean since it was installed. Keep food sealed or refrigerated to avoid roaches. It was a little gross but caused no serious health issues, which was a plus. The beds and towels themselves were clean.

They treated my service dog with a lot of respect, which earns them a second star. Otherwise, I think this place deserves just one. The armchair was torn up, like someone had deliberately picked at the leather seat. Neither the phone nor TV worked. I woke up covered in bites, so I have to assume there were bed bugs. Then, when we got back at night, there was a large cockroach on the wall that my fiancé had to kill. We won't return when we visit Columbus again.
