The bed was the worst part. I booked a king room, but the mattress was so hard and uncomfortable that I knew I wouldn't sleep a wink. It felt like lying on an operating table. I've been living in my car for almost ten months, and even faced with a hot, uncomfortable holiday weekend in the car without power, AC, TV, or internet, I'd choose that over a short nap on this mattress. I'd look for street parking near a decent internet connection instead. Don't stay here. The hotel overlooks a busy LA freeway, and the traffic is noisy. With the AC on and TV running you can't hear it much, but anyone who sleeps without those may have trouble. The tiny bathroom had no toilet paper, and there was no remote for the TV or telephone in the room. The stairs to the second and third floors are extremely steep and hard to climb, even for someone with long legs like me, and the parking lot is tiny. If you're truly desperate for somewhere cheap to rest for a few hours, drive a couple more miles southeast to Best Western, the Hilton, or Travelodge. Your stay won't be comfortable, and you won't get a good night's sleep.

The highway traffic right outside woke us around 6 a.m., so we couldn't sleep. The hotel was run-down, and the room was dirty all over: the nightstands were sticky, there was sand and other debris on the floor, and we found hair in the bathroom. When we picked up a towel, a cookie fell out of it. The stay was very disappointing, and the room wasn't clean.

The rooms are great, except the clerk demands a $20 deposit from every customer and they won't return it. What a scam.

The owner's a very nice lady, and the place welcomes pets. It's close to the mall with easy highway access, and the service was good 👍

I booked this for my business in East LA, and the location worked perfectly, across from Harbor Freight and Denny's. The guys at the desk were good. My first room faced inward with a back window, and they switched it without a problem when I asked for a parking lot view so I could keep an eye on the gear in my car. The rooms were reasonably clean inside. I was missing a towel, but they brought one, and parking was tight but sufficient. There was train noise, though the room fan covered it as white noise. I'll definitely come back if I can specify a parking lot view.
