Great Wolf Lodge - Concord Charlotte

The staff are always super friendly, the rooms are spacious, and we’ve had great service. We love spending a day or two at GWL, especially because the waterpark is so much fun for our son. My favorite thing is the huge hot tub in our room, big enough for all three of us. My son and I spent a lot of time relaxing in it. We first came here for a few days when he was three months old, so we have a lot of memories tied to this place. It’s an excellent place to stay. Thanks!

The rooms were roomy, clean, and comfortable, which was welcome after a full day at the park. The lodge feels lively and family-friendly, with gift shops, arcades, and several food choices all inside. The food was pretty good, and having everything in one place was convenient. We recently visited Great Wolf Lodge in Concord and had a fun, exciting time as adults and kids. The indoor water park was the main attraction, with slides, splash areas, a lazy river, and different rides to keep everyone busy for hours. The indoor temperature was comfortable, so the weather outside didn’t matter. The kids loved it, and adults could join in too. A good option for a family outing or weekend with friends.

We visited while in Charlotte with a day pass and had a blast swimming. My daughter especially loved the wave pool. On our way out, we went to the arcade. It was pricey, but Destiny, the lady with tattoos, was phenomenal. She explained the games and was so good with my daughter. The prize room staff were kind and helpful too. My daughter went home with a handful of stuffed animals and candy. It cost a lot, but the experience was worth it.

We had a good time because we enjoy being together, but Great Wolf made us work for it. The park was crowded enough to make it hard to enjoy, and the floor had lots of slimmy spots we slipped on. We left the resort several times to get away. The water park was mediocre compared with the one in Wisconsin, and without the adventure pass the kids would’ve been bored after 2-3 hours at a time. Our room wasn’t serviced, and although our group took several showers, we only had a few towels. There were no hooks to hang them or keep track of whose was whose. There was also black mold on the bathroom ceiling. Service was fine, but it was obvious the employees weren’t paid well. We ran into former workers who said the work life wasn’t good, and it showed. After checkout, the bill looked as expected, but they charged my card $200 extra and can’t explain the charge or remove it. I plan to dispute it with my card holder. Guests shouldn’t have to pay for parking. For the price, we could’ve done something better.
