The inn itself is gorgeous, with thoughtful decor that still feels homey. We stayed in the Red Room and I peeked into the Green and Gold rooms too. They were both cute. My boyfriend and I were in Dallas looking for apartments, and, coming from Iowa, we hoped Bailey's would be in a decent area. We got really lucky: it’s close to restaurants, bars and the rail car, with a nice view of downtown. Our Groupon came with wine and chocolates. We also had a covered garage spot and a code-locked entrance. We walked to Uptown Bar and Grill, Crooked Tree Coffeehouse and Si Tapas, and drove a short way to other shops and restaurants. I’d happily recommend Bailey's if you’re looking around here.

We made good use of the living room and kitchen late into the night, which was lovely for our group of six women who celebrate each other’s birthdays. The rooms were large, beautiful and all different, with the amenities you’d expect from a bigger chain. It was raining that weekend, but our hostesses let us stay inside and visit even after checkout. We especially appreciated the rare parking spot in Uptown, and there was plenty of dining and entertainment close by, so we didn’t need to drive anywhere.

The room was quiet and comfortable. I was in the black and white room, and the inn was clean, beautiful and well kept. Angela had useful information available in pamphlets and was helpful in person too. My meetings were all nearby, no more than a 10-minute drive, and I could walk to plenty of restaurants and services from the Worthington location, just off McKinney Ave. The UPS store and Walgreen's came in handy. Angela, one of the proprietors, was friendly from the start, and they let me check in early and leave late, depending on room availability. That made a big difference with my schedule during my two-day business trip. It was affordable and well worth the price. I’d stay here again in Dallas.

The bedroom TV was the one letdown in our stay in the blue room. It was a 14-inch tube set, and the picture kept skipping on every channel. We weren’t there to watch TV, but a newer screen would’ve been nice for an evening in after dinner. Otherwise, service was great and the house stayed quiet even though it was pretty full. My husband and I spent the day walking and riding the trolley, though it was hot, as it tends to be in Texas. The location worked well for us. We tried the covered garage, but with the house full it was very tight, so we got a street parking pass around the corner.

We’ve been coming to Bailey's for the OU Texas game for years. Andrea is amazing, and we love her breakfast. The rooms are warm and wonderful.
