Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dallas East - Fair Park by IHG

Sophia at the front desk was such a cheerful start to my mornings. She always had a great smile and a wonderful spirit that made the stay worthwhile. This place was amazing, and I’ll definitely be back.

The room was small but kind of cozy, and the view was decent. Still, the building is old and makes loud noises in the middle of the night. There’s no free parking, and the whole atmosphere and architecture felt OUTDATED!!! The place seems to be on a tight budget. The owner is from the Middle East, and I’ll reiterate that. It might be decent for one person staying one night, but it’s definitely not enough for a longer stay.

We were trying to book a room in Ft worth, but the booking sent us to Dallas east. We noticed right away and called to sort it out, and were told to call back at 1000 that morning. When we called, the front desk lady immediately said she couldn’t help. She refused to help us resolve it and wouldn’t let us speak to a manager. I won’t do business with Holiday Inn again, and wouldn’t recommend it.

If you’re into small TVs and old-school cable, this may be the place for you. I booked four nights at this hotel, tried connecting my streaming device, and got nowhere. At the front desk they asked whether my TV was small or large. Of course it was small, and apparently the small TVs here don’t support streaming devices. They said they were booked and asked if they could move me the next day. I’d just checked out of the Holiday Inn on Bass Pro drive after one night because its TV didn’t work with streaming devices either. I booked the remaining time at the Holiday Inn in Mesquite, where the TV had a blue tint, and they changed my room right away. I think Hilton is calling my name.
