Stay Alfred on Elm Street

The apartment was gorgeous, clean, organized, and smelled so good. The photos don't show how beautiful it really is. We also loved the clean, lovely pool and its surrounding area, and the gym was clean and well maintained. Everything else was amazing, but two TVs didn't work because the cable was down, so I couldn't give five stars. A guy spent about 40 minutes on the phone with technical support right after we arrived, but they couldn't fix it. We normally don't watch TV on vacation, but after coming back tired from hurricane harbor, we just wanted to relax and watch something. We also had to pay $15 a day to park in the garage.

We got a lot of space and amenities for a good price, and the location was really good. Despite the issues, the problems didn't ruin the visit, and we'd definitely stay again. The room could have been cleaner: there were dirty dishes in the cupboard, wall stains and visible damage, plus a concerning moldy patch on the bathroom ceiling. Both showers leaked and left big puddles on the floor. For the size, location, and amenities, it was still a great deal.

I spent two weeks here, and parking was a constant hassle. I wish a space had been included, since LTV has a garage in the building, though I'm assuming Stay Alfred hadn't secured a stall for guests in this apartment. The garage next door gets expensive if you're going in and out, and reaching it means walking outside along the street. It could feel sketchy at night, with bums and panhandlers outside the building. Metered street parking runs 9am-6pm for two hours, if you can find a spot. Sometimes I circled and waited for one to open. Street parking is free after 6pm, but you have to move by 7am, and there is no parking from 7am-9am. The apartment itself was excellent, clean and spacious, with high-end finishes and amenities, a great location, and an amazing view.

The restaurant that came with the place was good, and the location was excellent. The facilities were okay, and it was comfortable enough, but nothing special. There was plumbing noise all night. The mattress creaked loudly whenever either of us moved, and the sheets were much too small. Our daughter arrived before us and said the apartment hadn't been cleaned properly.
