Days Inn Donegal

The owner was really kind, and I’ve stayed here in both winter and summer. The pool was crystal clear and the lawn was mowed. It’s a cheap, clean place to sleep and shower before heading out, with no frills or extras. The rooms are dated, sure, but the bedding and towels were clean, and I’ve never noticed a bad smell. I think some negative reviews miss what this place is meant to be: a simple base for skiing or other outdoor activities.

The innkeeper was welcoming and kindly helped us move to a lower-level room when we asked. Our room at Days Inn Donegal was clean, spacious, and well maintained, with a comfortable bed and great shower pressure. It was easy to unwind after a long day of driving, and the price was very reasonable. We’d definitely stay here again.

The hallways smelled like wet cigarettes, and there was a huge stain on the comforter when we got to our room. I pulled it off, hoping to at least take a shower, but found hair in the soap holder. We packed up and cut our losses, then went to the Holiday Inn down the road. Earlier, I’d asked to check in an hour early because the parking lot was empty, and was told it would cost an extra $30. Wyndham should be ashamed to be affiliated with this Days Inn.

We left right after checking in and had to book another hotel, but they gave us no refund. The room smelled awful, had trash on the floor, stained sheets, and dirty towels. The GM gave us expired Febreze and said we should have expected the trash and picked it up ourselves.
