Haven Inn & Suites

The front desk team made our month at “The Haven” feel welcoming. They were consistently cheerful and friendly to my family and me, and even remembered my name, which made us feel valued. The rooms were average overall, with a big difference from one to another. Room 210 had the most comfortable beds we tried, while the beds in Room 315 were the worst. In that room, the AC only sent cold air toward the table on one side, so the rest of the space stayed hot and stuffy. Better beds and updated amenities would have made the stay much more enjoyable. A remodel could help this place stand out.

We left rather than put up with the conditions, even though it meant giving up our reservation fee. There were cockroaches in the room, the lights weren't working properly, and the place felt unsanitary. A strong cigarette smell made it unbearable. I had an extremely unpleasant stay and strongly discourage anyone from staying here.

We needed two rooms while evacuating Florida from hurricane Milton, and chose this place because it was cheap. Housekeeping and front desk customer service were nice. The room itself had problems: none of the power outlets worked except the ones in two lamps and the wall unit for the microwave and fridge. The bathroom ceiling above the shower was cracked, and the AC barely got cold. The hallway rug by the bathroom doorway was torn. A police officer told me not to go to the third floor because it was being used for drug deals and prostitution.

For $70 with no deposit, the hotel itself seemed decent. But once I got into the room, roaches were coming from every direction. I was scared one would crawl into my ear while I slept.
