Quality Inn Easton

The room was clean and newly renovated, and the staff were friendly and quick to respond. It was quiet despite being near the highway, and the WiFi was fast. The rest of the hotel looks older, though. Breakfast was mostly packaged food and waffles, so the choices were limited compared with other Choice properties I’ve stayed at. That’s my only complaint. I’d recommend staying here. I’d been nervous after reading the reviews, but my stay went well.

After driving more than 16 hours on Christmas Eve to take care of family business, I arrived tired and dealing with a health episode. I paid $35 for early check-in, took my medication, and went to rest. The front desk clerk had rudely said my service animal wasn’t allowed, so I told her I’d make arrangements and the dog wouldn’t stay. Then I heard a larger dog in the room next door. Later, someone banged loudly on my door and yelled through it. I couldn’t make out what was said, and by the time I got dressed to answer, no one was there. I went to the desk to find out what was going on. The clerk started yelling about the dog. I explained that it was a service animal and that I’d needed time to arrange things because I’m not from the area. Even after I told her about my condition and that it was a service dog, she told me to leave. I was shocked and felt disrespected and discriminated against, especially with another animal apparently staying nearby. She also gave me misleading information about the refund, saying management had to approve it, when I would actually have needed to contact the third party I booked through. When I asked where the nearest hotel was, she claimed the next one was 20 minutes away, but the Holiday Inn was just around the corner. This was a miserable way to be treated while traveling over the holidays. The clerk showed no compassion or basic courtesy. If you want a pleasant stay, try the Holiday Inn around the street. Hospitality should start with treating people hospitably, and no one should have to deal with the rudeness and disrespect I experienced.

My company booked the room, but I wouldn’t pay to stay here myself. The toilet shifted around and leaked, the water never got warm enough for a shower, and the room was dirty. I found hair under the mattress and a toenail on the floor. I’m leaving because this is unacceptable. I can’t even give it one star.

I booked a reward night at the Quality Inn in Easton, Pennsylvania, for October 29. When I called to change the name on the reservation, as I’ve done many times across the country, I was told the hotel requires the new name to have the same last name as the booking. When I questioned that, Jiselli at the front desk got loud and argued with me. I was already agitated, and after I called out her unprofessional behavior, she hung up. I called back and asked for a manager, but she wouldn’t give me any information. She also canceled my reservation. That was fine by then, since I wouldn’t have stayed after that conversation anyway. The reviews for this hotel are poor, and the front desk associate’s attitude makes me wonder whether the service reflects the rest of the business. I wouldn’t recommend it. I booked the Holiday Inn Express in Easton instead, and the service there was much better.
