Elko Motel

It’s an old motel and the outside doesn’t look like much, but it’s worth the money and I’ll stay again. The room was clean and roomy, with a microwave and mini fridge, which I always look for. The rooms in back are nice and large, and the staff are very nice and accommodating when you need them.

After driving 2300 miles across the country for my OTR job, I needed somewhere to sleep until my load was ready for pickup. The friendly, accommodating people who run this place let me check in early so I could get some much-needed rest. My room was clean and had a fridge and microwave, and there’s a laundry room on site. Great experience, and some of the most personable people running a place. I’d definitely stay again.

The shower gets nice and hot, at least. The room smelled like pee and bleach, paint was scratched off the walls, and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The door had been repaired after being kicked in. There were crying babies and people living in rooms. It’s a bad place, though if you like dingy motels, maybe it’s fun.

When we checked in, the owner was yelling at his kid to shut the f*** up. The rooms were freezing, and people kept going in and out of the room next to ours all night, so I could barely sleep. The owner was just plain rude. This place has gone down the toilet, and I don’t recommend it. My kid got bed bugs from here too. Not okay.
