We stayed a couple of nights, and it was a good last stop for a proper night’s sleep and shower before heading into the BWCA. The owners and staff were friendly and accommodating. Some of our crew could check out after noon without extra charges or hassle. The rooms were spotless, the pillows super fluffy, and the rest of the property was very well kept.

We were pleasantly surprised after staying three nights. There were only a few rooms left because of the blueberry arts festival, and I’d been apprehensive about the mixed reviews since I usually book highly rated places. I’m not sure what some of the bad reviews are about. This is a very clean property near downtown, right across from the Ely visitor center. The breakfast is quite nice for the price and star rating, and the owners are always working hard, either managing the breakfast room or keeping public areas clean. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Everything was perfectly clean and very quiet, and breakfast was a huge plus. There were lots of options for a quick meal before the day started. Management was friendly and outgoing, and went above and beyond. We’ll stay there whenever we need to pick up or drop off our college student.

Keeping in mind this is a Super 8 and not the Hyatt Regency, I’m giving it five stars. The management is welcoming, and it’s clear they take pride in the hotel. My room was neat and clean and in great repair. The bathroom must have been updated recently, with a new toilet and bath surround. A great hotel for the area, with plenty of parking for big rigs.

We always stay here when visiting my brother, and we love it. The owners live onsite and are incredibly nice and friendly. We’ve had nothing but good experiences, and there’s a reason we keep coming back. Breakfast is simple, but it’s the only hotel or motel in the area with a free continental breakfast: hot sausage or bacon, waffles, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, and more.
