Canyon Country Lodge

The sunrise from our window was a treat, and the lodge’s views seem lovely from every side of the building. We found it online during a Utah road trip, and booking on the website was easy. The place and our nicely decorated room were beautiful and very clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful, including at breakfast, where they checked on us several times and were very accommodating. I’d stay again.

We slept well only one of our three nights because the place was incredibly noisy. A motorcycle group nearby woke us before 6 a.m. We’d asked for a quiet room, but ours was by the hall entrance instead of at the end. Since this was the priciest lodging on our two-week trip, we’d look for somewhere quieter if we return to this beautiful area. There were good things too: our room was clean and comfortable, the staff were pleasant, and the location was convenient. The lobby had books and information on local hikes, scenic drives, and other attractions. The pool looked nice, though we didn’t use it. There’s no elevator, as the website says. Breakfast was just okay, and more healthy choices would have been nice.

I was there in the off season. The room was large, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast was decent, though nothing special. I’d recommend the hotel and would stay again.

The breakfast was a basic American buffet, with cereal, hot food, waffles, yoghurt, fruit, and brewed coffee. My room worked well for an overnight stay, with a comfortable bed, a usable desk, and enough outlets for chargers. I got a top-floor room without having to request it. The foyer looks grand, while the rest of the hotel is fairly standard.
