Signature Inn Eugene

I deal with the owners often and they’re some of the nicest people, with real care for the business and their guests. During the time they’ve owned this hotel, it’s kept getting nicer instead of going downhill. They’re good members of the community, and this is a great place to spend your hard-earned money.

The rooms are spacious and very quiet, with five soft, clean pillows and a reasonably quiet bed. The towels are good quality too. I arrived on my first trip to Eugene with no expectations, even bringing my own towel because I’d found such a great deal. It turned out to be fantastic value. It’s a motor lodge, but it’s been redecorated in a mid-century modern style, with an Eero Saarinen tulip dining table and chairs and a pair of Poulsen Panthella 160 lamps in my room. 😅 I’m very pleased I found the Signature Inn and will definitely stay again.

The location was a real plus, with restaurants and coffee shops all within walking distance. The area seemed safe, though there were some shady characters nearby, not on the hotel property. The motel style took a little getting used to, but my wife and I warmed to it quickly and enjoyed the stay. Our room had been freshly updated, with modern furnishings that looked and felt new. The place may fool you at first, so give it a chance.

The updated rooms are really cute, and we slept well on the comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom was wet all the time, though. Since it was pouring, we couldn’t open the window, and condensation pooled on the sink and floor and even dripped down the walls. It fit our budget, at least.
