The mobile check-in worked well, and the room was so comfortable that my partner and I could properly relax between outings. This motel was honestly better than some hotels I've stayed in. The owners were helpful and texted to ask if we needed anything. If you're older, not very tech savvy, and prefer old-fashioned hospitality, though, this may not suit you. We'll stay here next time we're in Eugene for a concert.

We came to Eugene for a wedding and needed an early check-in, which they handled without a problem. The Local Motel was outstanding. Our room was spotless and thoughtfully laid out, with someone clearly having considered how to make the most of the space and include the details. I had read complaints about noise from neighboring rooms, but there was nobody next to us, so that didn't affect our stay. My husband and I would definitely come back.

We were in town for an engagement party just around the corner, so this worked perfectly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I'd recommend it.

Dear Local Motel Team, My stay was the worst hotel experience I've ever had, and the price made it especially disappointing. I arrived not knowing there'd be no staff on site, and I hadn't received check-in instructions by email. I wasted a lot of time calling the number provided and leaving several voicemails. When someone finally answered, they sounded inconvenienced that I'd booked a room late in the day. The room was extremely unpleasant. It was hot and stale, with a strong mildew and cigarette smoke smell, so I had to go sit at a nearby coffee shop to do my homework. Later, I couldn't get any rest. Music from downstairs sounded like a full-on party, and the next room had a loud TV and constant banging. The walls were so thin I heard every car going past, including one revving its engine and pulling out of the parking lot several times. Sirens and regular traffic noise carried on all night. This wasn't the relaxing or functional stay I expected for the rate I paid. I hope you take the feedback seriously and improve communication, soundproofing, and cleanliness.
