The Snoozzz Inn

The location comes with a lot of highway noise since the hotel sits between the northbound and southbound lanes. That’s outside the hotel’s control, but it’s something guests should know. Our room also had no working built-in heat or AC, only a space heater, and the fan didn’t cool it enough. We sometimes had to leave the door propped open to get comfortable. There was just a key entry and deadbolt, with no swing-bar lock, which seems limited for a room with an outside door. The shower floor was dangerously slippery and could use a rubber mat. On the plus side, the room was very clean and seemed recently renovated. The Roku TV and in-room K-cup machine were appreciated, the staff were great, and the shower water got nice and hot.

The bed was so comfortable that I fell asleep almost right away, even though hotel beds usually give me trouble. The room was one of the cleanest I’ve had in a long time, and staff said they spend a few hours cleaning each one, which really showed. They also left me a Dutch Bros gift card before I left, thanks to their connections with local shops. I found the place while looking for somewhere to stay in Eureka for a few nights, and I’ll come back next time I’m in the area.

We were glad to find The Snoozzz after a disappointing night at another locally owned hotel. Traveling with our three young children, we wanted somewhere clean, safe, and comfortable, and the management was friendly and welcoming to families. The parking lot was clean and well lit, and we didn’t see anyone loitering around, which helped us feel at ease with the kids. Staff greeted us warmly and walked us to our room. It had two full beds and worked well for our family. The buildings look older, but they’ve been remodeled thoughtfully. The room was very clean, comfortable enough to walk around barefoot, and had good lighting, a refrigerator, a hairdryer, and full-size hand soap instead of little disposable bars. We’ll stay here again when we’re back in the area. Thanks for a great visit.

Our first stay at the Snoozzz Inn was seven months ago. The rooms were clean and nice, but what stuck with me was the welcoming feel, especially the lady who checked us in. I came back recently and felt really let down. Around 3:30, a younger man checked us in, and he seemed to be there just to do the job. When I asked about the woman from before, he said he didn’t know who I meant, which I found hard to believe. It changed the whole vibe. I’m bummed, and I don’t think I’ll stay there again.
