Quality Inn & Suites Everett

We had to cancel because of a family emergency, so I can't really rate the stay itself. Megan at the front desk and the rest of the staff were compassionate and accommodating. They chose to refund our reservation even though they didn't have to. We really appreciated that kind gesture. Based on the service we received, I'd recommend this hotel.

I was in town from Tacoma to see my daughter and take her to school, and my wife and I checked in with our kids. The employee, Iridian Medina, quoted $125 for one night plus a $100 deposit. My card was charged $235. Later, while I was getting food, the hotel tried another $100 charge, which failed because my card was locked. I thought it was a mistake since I'd already been charged and nobody had told me the deposit hadn't gone through. When I returned at 9:14 the next morning after dropping my daughter at school, that $100 had been refunded to my card. I showed the same employee the charge and refund, but she said the manager wouldn't let me stay another night because the deposit had failed. She also accused me of smoking in the room, which is completely false. We were away in Tacoma for about eight hours, and when we were at the hotel we smoked in our car, spending only an hour or two relaxing out front. We had room 112 right by the lobby, so I don't see how we could have smoked in the room without anyone noticing. We also had kids with us, and all we did in the room was sleep. The night staff, a nice Black woman, and another employee I saw at breakfast didn't raise any issue with me. When I asked for the manager's contact, Iridian gave me a number I called about 30 times, but no one answered or returned my voicemail. I suspect it was fake. Two days later I called again and Megan answered. She was rude, said I was lying, and offered to email proof that I hadn't been charged a deposit. When I said I'd send my own proof, she cut me off and gave me the same unanswered number. She yelled over me and seemed more interested in protecting her coworker than sorting this out. I feel I was treated this way because of prejudice and racism, and I plan to file a civil lawsuit. This is the worst hotel service I've ever had. I was confused and upset, and I'm still trying to resolve an incident that makes no sense to me. They won't let me do that, so I'll deal with it in court.

The rooms were clean, service was good, and breakfast was decent. It seems like the best value in Everett, so I think we've found our regular place when we're in the area. We'll be back.

We were surprised by how much space the room had and how comfortable it was. It was very clean, breakfast was quite good, and the customer service was excellent. Thanks, and congratulations on the great work. We'll be back soon.
