Residence Inn Fairfield Napa

My room on the 4th floor, right by the elevator and facing the parking lot, was comfortable and quiet. Check-in was easy, and using the app made it easier. The hotel is fairly new. Breakfast was the usual hotel spread: eggs, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, fruit, plus a croissant breakfast sandwich. I’d stay here again.

The bill was the last straw. I showed that we’d been quoted a different room rate, but after several attempts to reconcile it with the final charge, which was only a little over 18$, I gave up. We won’t stay here again. There are other options across the street. We’d stayed twice, and I like the rooms, but the amenities had clearly declined since our previous visit. Breakfast was almost the same every morning, coffee disappeared after 9:30 am, and we got 3 sets of towels instead of 4. The in-room coffee maker and coffee were the cheapest imaginable. Since we were there for a week, I bought a coffee maker at a thrift store. They also refused to give me plastic silverware because the food area was closed.

Jasmine at the front desk was the highlight of our visit. She was cheerful from the moment we arrived, and when we sat outside by the fire, she brought my wife a blanket and said it gets cold. A small gesture, but it showed she cared about the guests. Give this woman a raise! I’ll book with this chain from now on because of her. The rooms were very clean, and the patio had comfortable seating and a great view of the mountains and surrounding area. We couldn’t be happier with the place.

The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast. Check-in went fine for us, but our friends had a rougher time. Their room was prepaid, yet they were told there wasn’t one for them. Once staff “found” a room, they still waited in the lobby while other guests checked in before they got a key. It seemed like a staffing issue.
