Quality Inn & Suites Fayetteville I-95

The room was musty, dusty, and dirty, with stains on every fabric surface. There was so much dust I could sweep up a lint ball with my finger. The worst part was the scum in the tubs, on the bathroom floors, and everywhere else. The fridge was rusty and scummy inside and out. I’m far from a germaphobe, but I didn’t want to touch anything. While I slept I felt itchy, and in the morning I found what looked like small brown bugs, plus another bug that resembled a roach, though maybe it was a water bug. There was also a broken chair that tipped me off if I leaned just a little to either side. It happened to my boyfriend. This place needs to be knocked down and condemned. Nastiest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, and nastier than any motel too. Do not go here. We paid $115 for one night after choosing it because it showed $55 online and allowed pets. We have a Yorkie. It should have been $55 plus a $25 pet fee and taxes and fees, but the price got inflated. I was walking the dog while my boyfriend dealt with the woman at the counter. We were tired, and he decided to eat the cost. For that price, we would have gone to the Double Tree next door. The owner should be ashamed.

By breakfast, every serving counter was sticky and nobody had cleaned up. They had coffee, cereal, muffins, and orange juice, but were out of the mix for the waffle maker. The room itself was musty, with a filthy shower curtain, a terrible tub, and cigarette burns on the bedspread and even the bedside phone, despite it being a nonsmoking room. Flies were buzzing around, so we killed them and washed the shower before going to bed. The neighbors were loud until 12:30. We only stayed because it was late when we pulled off the road. The Doubletree next door was full while the Qualoty had just a couple of cars, which probably should have told us something.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the room was clean and really comfortable. It could use a couple of finishing touches. Breakfast didn't have much to choose from, but the stay was good value.

For a cheap room I don't expect a lot, and I don't like leaving a bad review, but this stay was unpleasant. The furniture was stained, the refrigerator was rusty and corroded, and there were roaches. At least the sheets looked clean, and although it was a smoking room, it didn't really smell like cigarettes. That's about the only positive.
