Palmetto Inn Florence

The room was dirty, and we had to ask for towels, tissues, and toilet paper because none were provided. During our two-night stay, nobody came to make the beds or leave fresh towels. Then there was a drug bust in the room next to ours. Never staying here again.

We checked out and left, then I realized I'd left the food I'd cooked from home in the fridge, along with some of my mom's good plates and tubber wear. I called to ask if I could pick it up, but they'd thrown it all away. When I asked for the general manager's number, the person hung up on me. That same manager, owner, whatever he is, had already been incredibly rude. Earlier, I found six roaches and asked him to come see them. He saw three running around himself. I politely asked for our money back, but he said he couldn't refund it. I asked to change rooms, and he wouldn't let us move until morning, even though we were only staying that one night. Instead, he brought roach spray and let me spray the room. I must have killed over 60 roaches during the night. The hotel was absolutely disgusting, with awful customer service. Horrible experience. I will NEVER go back, not even for cash.

I returned from South Carolina and thought I'd give to palmetto another chance. There was no hot water for a shower. They also put me in a room without telling me the door lock didn't work. Someone came in, took all my clothes, and nothing was done about it. Stay away from this motel.

There was visible debris on the floor, and I'm pretty sure the bed hadn't been changed. The sheet was wrinkled and had a hair on it. Outside, there was noise in the wee hours, including sheriff cars. The place was shabby, dingy, and dirty. Get the picture?
