La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ft. Worth - Forest Hill TX

I had to book here because everything else was full. The room is so poorly lit that it’s dark unless you open the street-facing windows wide. There are no weights in the gym, apparently they were stolen and never replaced. The machines look like they’re from the 1980s and don’t work. They shouldn’t advertise a gym when there’s nothing of the sort. The place is kind of a dump.

A cancelled flight meant we had to book at the last minute, and the booking was easy. The place was clean and breakfast was great. My only complaint is that the toilet in our room wouldn’t flush, but they fixed it right away. Four stars!

This hotel is full of bed bugs and other bugs. I woke up with my body covered in bites, and they all became inflamed because I’m allergic to insect bites. I lost two Samsonite suitcases due to the infestation. I tried to reach the manager for the next 5 days, but he was never at the property. When I woke up, I still had blood in some areas. A woman from the front desk came to see how I was, took pictures, and said the manager wasn’t there but would be on Monday, Jan 19. I called Monday and was told he had a family issue and couldn’t talk. On Tuesday he was occupied. On Wednesday, they answered all my calls and hung up. Avoid this place. The bugs are the ones who’ll be around, not the manager. I attached pictures, including one of my pillow with a blood stain and bed bug eggs. I doubt all the other reviews are true. Will the property keep refusing my calls or returning them? Do I need to escalate this?

I really enjoyed my stay. Five stars from me, though it would’ve helped to know the deposit takes 7-10 days to process back.
