Hampton Inn & Suites N. Ft. Worth-Alliance Airport

The AC worked amazingly well. My house is usually 65 at night, and we got the room down to 60. The sheets and mattress were comfortable, and I loved the blueberry waffles, though the butter was frozen and frustrating to melt. I also liked being able to use the digital key in the app while my husband used a physical key. The bathroom had large containers of lotion, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, but I personally don’t use those because I can’t trust that the contents are what they’re supposed to be. We had a good stay and will keep staying at Hamptons. We’re particular about comfort but don’t judge too harshly, and had a few minor complaints. The 1.6 cu feet mini fridge was smaller than expected and froze everything inside. The microwave didn’t heat our refrigerated food evenly, and its glass plate couldn’t turn because it had no teeth. The comforter was too narrow, so I struggled to stay covered all night. We wished there were more entrances beyond the front door. There was plenty of parking around the building, but most people don’t want to park in back and walk around to the front.

The walls were so thin I could hear neighbors opening and closing doors, walking down the hall, and talking all night. The walls were mostly bare, too, and the room felt cheap and unfinished. There was a lot of strangely empty space and not a single table, just a desk. The pullout couch and chair looked like cheap college dorm furniture. My toddler walked barefoot around the room, and the bottoms of his feet were nearly black from dirt or whatever was on the carpet. We’d booked a king suite. Right after check-in, the hotel charged our card a $50 incidental fee, supposedly in case we damaged something, without telling us beforehand. The room door was off-center and leaning, so it took a hard push with a shoulder or hip to open. The stay was subpar, and we won’t return.

Mrs Fabila, the manager, was one of the most accommodating hotel managers I’ve met. I work in the area often enough that I’ll stay there again next time I’m in town.

The room had a persistent unpleasant smell, adding to an already uncomfortable stay. More concerning, I saw noticeable black mold on the ceiling in Room 317 on 7/21/2025. It looked as though management knew about it, since there were several spots where someone had painted over the mold instead of properly addressing it. For a hotel that promotes comfort and quality, this was a major letdown. The mold raised serious health concerns and questions about guest safety and maintenance. Hotels need to put guests’ well-being first. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses it promptly for future guests. Until proper remediation is done, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
