The room was small, though fairly clean, and I didn't see bugs. Still, I'd spend a few extra dollars for somewhere better. The whole hotel smelled of smoke and pot. The bed sat very high on a metal frame, and it clanked whenever I moved. Anyone with arthritis could have trouble getting up there. There was only a small soap sample, no shampoo, and I found tiny black hairs in the sink. The shower leaked from its rain head and had weak pressure. I couldn't get a comfortable temperature, only too hot or too cold. It was the worst hotel shower I've had in years. The thermostat only offered heat, despite being in Texas, and setting it to 67 didn't bring the room below 76. The outlets beside the bed were loose, so plugs kept falling out. There was nowhere comfortable to sit, just a hard plastic desk chair.

We've returned several times over the years since this motel opened, including for a week-long Fort Worth vacation this year. The rooms have been clean, the service friendly, and we plan to stay here again. It's a top-notch motel. Great job, guys!

The front desk was great overall, and Kamal was especially kind, generous, and real with my family. Kamal, I hope you see this. Thank you, and I have a gift for you when we come back. AJ was nice at first, but later he kept knocking on our door and made us uncomfortable. When I went to work, he put me and my kids out during a hard situation and threatened to call the police, even though we hadn't done anything wrong. We'd gone a couple of days without letting them clean the room. One thin housekeeper was unpleasant too. She told my daughter to take out our own trash. This was a learning experience. People don't care about your situation. If you're in a tough spot, find another place.

When my partner and I had just become homeless, one of my partner's relatives got us a room here for a little while as we tried to work things out. The staff were so kind, and the surrounding community was incredible. If you're plural, queer, agere, or similar, I truly recommend this place. Things have become much more dangerous since I was in the country, especially in Texas, but if you have to trust strangers, these are good people to trust. I pray things get better for you and that you make it through.
