Scottish Inns White Settlement

The rates are great, and the rooms have been really nice and clean. Everyone has been respectful and kind. Breakfast is limited, but decent. This is the best location I've ever stayed at.

For the cheapest hotel in this part of town, the accommodations were good for what I paid. It looked a bit worn, but the WiFi, AC, shower, refrigerator, and everything else worked well. There were no bugs or bad smells, though I had to pull the door shut firmly to get it to latch. I wasn't told whether breakfast was offered, and I didn't ask. When I checked out around 9:30, there was no sign of any breakfast.

For this price, I'd just stay at motel 6. Hotels.com gives this place an 8/10, but to me it's closer to a 2/10. It smells bad, and the doors don't secure properly, which is a serious safety concern. They wouldn't refund us. Their fix for the door was to hand us a bedsheet and tell us to stuff it under the door or hang it over it. Seriously? This place makes motel 6 look like the Omni downtown.

ZERO STARS. We were patient and polite, but the front desk man insisted we were making up the weed smell because those rooms supposedly had a no-smoking policy. We tried three different “non smoking” rooms, and all of them reeked of weed and cigarette smoke so strongly that it felt unhealthy. My wife is pregnant, and we explained how unhealthy it would be for her to breathe that in all night. He was rude and kept insisting it wasn't true. He suggested maybe weed from outside had “seeped in through the A/C,” but wouldn't come smell it himself when we said how strong it was. They refused to refund us, and we couldn't speak to a manager either. The staff, management, and general cleanliness were extremely disappointing. Avoid this disgusting place.
