Best Western Forest Inn

The room had several problems during our stay. Right when we entered room 155, there was a roach on the floor and clear fingerprints on the headboard that showed up when the lights came on. My husband stepped on glass. We hadn’t brought any glass, so it seemed like the room hadn’t been vacuumed before we arrived. The cleaner never wiped anything down or vacuumed while we were there. The TV had a large green line, and the shower pressure was so strong it felt like a fire hose. The worst part was finding some of our food missing after work. We bring food and prepare lunches for the next day, so I know what we packed and how much was there. I told the front desk, but I don’t know if they did anything. I’m not comfortable with people touching our food, so I threw a lot of it away and had to buy more for lunch the next day. That was frustrating because I hadn’t planned to spend more. The same day, we also saw that some Tide was missing from a brand-new, unopened bottle. I wasn’t going to say anything, but it’s not okay to go through guests’ belongings, especially food. The housekeeper made me so uneasy that I packed everything each morning before work and put it where it would be hard to reach.

I checked out early after finding three roaches in the bathroom the next morning, one on the floor and two more up in a ceiling corner. I panicked and checked my things, though only my shoes had been on the floor. When I arrived, there was a flood somewhere in the lobby and a loud pump running. I waited about ten minutes before the front desk could help, as she was busy, which I understood. She was very friendly. But when I got to my room, the door was open. I called my husband to check that nobody was inside, though I’m not sure what he could have done!

The room was very clean and easy to get to. There’s no vending machine or drinks, and breakfast was lousy. The restaurant is good when it’s open!

We were visiting family in Four Corners Louisiana for my cousin’s homegoing service. Andrew Alexander was our first cousin, and we also saw my cousins Alexander's & Jones and Mark's family. The customer service was great, and we had a good breakfast before heading back home to Houston Texas.
