Friday Harbor House

This is our regular place in Friday Harbor, with fantastic service, great rooms, and a location that makes walking around town easy. We usually walk on the ferry and stay a few days, so there’s no need for a car. Just enjoy the town and the break from driving. The only room issue was a fireplace that was a bit finicky to figure out, though that may have been user error.

We paid for a Marine view room for a three day birthday trip for my hubby, and it lived up to expectations. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and I spent plenty of time in the two big comfy chairs watching ferries and Kenmore air land in the harbor. The Jacuzzi tub and L’occtaine bath products made us feel pampered. The Ferry landing was literally a minute drive away. Service was lovely, and breakfast in the dining room was beyond fabulous, especially the potatoes, the best I’ve had. There was water, coffee, and snacks on the 3rd floor, and they left a birthday greeting and some chocolates in the room. It costs a pretty penny, but it was totally worth it. We’ll definitely stay again.

The food was lovely, and our room had a great view. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the location was great. Amazing stay.

The staff were incredible, and Molly, the manager, handled our room problems in a way that made a real difference. Our toilet wasn’t working properly, and she tried to fix it right away. She apologized again at dinner, where the restaurant food was very nice and our server Austen was attentive and personable, making the meal memorable. Unfortunately, the toilet still wasn’t fixed in the middle of the night, and the sensor light also wouldn’t turn off, so we slept terribly. We brought it up with Molly again in the morning and she really tried to make things right. I appreciate hotels that genuinely work to resolve problems, which is why I’d stay again and highly recommend this place. The room issue felt like a one-off, and I felt the hotel took good care of us.
